Campus Recreation hires student team members during the fall and spring semesters. The following steps must be completed to obtain a position with the department:
Sessions will be located in Room 183 of McCormick Hall. Campus Recreation will be hiring for the following positions during Session1: Facility Assistant, Adventure Specialist, Climbing Wall Supervisor, Team Building Facilitator Low Ropes, Team Building Facilitator High Ropes, Adventure Trip Leader, Intramural Sports Official, and Service Tech.
Students must be registered for a minimum of six credit hours at Illinois State University to be employed by the department.
The information below is a complete list of the necessary documents that new student employees will need to provide once hired. Additional information will be provided by an immediate supervisor at the time of hire.
All offers of employment are contingent upon proof of eligibility for employment in the United States by completing the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9). The Immigration and Control Act of 1986, Public Law 99-603, requires all new employees to file an I-9 in person.Failure to comply with this law will result in cancellation of your offer for employment.

Please refer to the appropriate forms on the Illinois State University Payroll website for information about how to complete your Federal W-4 and IL W-4. You may download and bring the completed forms to the HR Orientation; however W-4 cards will be supplied and assistance will also be provided on site.
All employees are requested to take advantage of direct deposit. A Payroll Direct Deposit Authorization card will be supplied. You will need to bring either a VOIDED check or a VOIDED deposit slip, whichever is applicable. You may download and bring the completed form to the HR Orientation; however Direct Deposit cards will be supplied.
