This 12-week program runs from January 30-April 27 and is designed to help participants manage their weight while focusing on overall physical health. The program is run by our qualified trainers and includes a variety of assessments, classes, workshops and a free t-shirt all for just $75. Get ready for an outdoor adventure in the snow in this workshop, which includes an informational session on February 1 from 7-8 pm before we hit the snow on February 4. Register by January 31, cost is just $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers.
Sign up for this class, featuring a great workout using unique moves and equipment. Class is 6:15-7:15 pm on Tuesdays, January 31-March 6.
Interested in learning more about self-defense and getting a great workout? This class provides instruction in a variety of martial arts techniques and tactics. The class will be held 8:45-9:45 p.m. on Thursday nights, February 2-April 26, so register by February 1 at 5 p.m. Cost is just $30.
Check out the first two Intramural leagues of the semester, including 5-on-5 Basketball and Corec Volleyball. Rosters are due for both leagues on January 31, and both have a team entry fee of $50.
Campus Recreation would like to recognize of our own. Congratulations to Jeremy Butler, Graduate Assistant-Facilities, for being named a winner of the William N. Wasson Student Leadership & Academic Award given by the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA). This award recognizes top undergraduate and graduate students within campus recreation throughout the country.
The Student Fitness Center and McCormick Hall was recently named as a recipient of NIRSA's Outstanding Sports Facilities Award. The facility was one of nine award winners that were recognized nationally as setting the standard in functionality and architecture.
