Student Fitness Center

The Student Fitness Center and McCormick Hall will provide a wealth of opportunities for the Illinois State University community for years to come. This state-of-the-art 170,000 square foot facility serves as the home for Campus Recreation, Health Promotion and Wellness, and the School of Kinesiology and Recreation. Tours of the facility are available.  Visit the Bob and Julie Dobski Welcome Center in the main lobby for more information.

The second floor weight room will be closed for cleaning until further notice. The Fitness 1 weight area will be open during this time.

    • Reduced evening times (Feb. 5, Feb. 11, Mar. 18, Apr. 15 & May 6: 4-6:30 p.m.)

Parking

Like most campus buildings, the best way to access the new Student Fitness Center and McCormick Hall is as a pedestrian.  However, there is limited street parking available as well as in the South University Street Parking Garage.  Both options are fee based.

The main entrance for the programming side of the facility is on the south side just off the large green space. The main entrance for the academic areas is just off the Quad.
