Team Building

High Ropes Course

The Adventure program is committed to providing Illinois State University students, faculty/staff, and community groups with quality team building experiences that result in personal growth and group development. Every team building program is designed to fit each group's specific goals. We believe in providing experiences that:

  • are fun, engaging, and non-threatening
  • include taking risks, experiencing success and failure
  • provide times for reflection to gain key insights
  • follow "challenge of choice" philosophy
  • are transformative when key learning is implemented in real life
  • Learning Outcomes

Learning outcomes vary from group to group and may include:

    • effective communication
    • problem-solving
    • relationship building
    • decision making
    • leadership development
  • Who Participates?

Team building is a group experience. Any group of 10 or more may participate in a team building program with us. Anyone 12 years of age or older may participate in a team building program. Some examples of groups have included:

    • ISU Student Wellness Ambassador Team
    • Kingsley Junior High Basketball Team

Open High Ropes Events

Though much of our programs are focused on team development, we schedule open climbs for individuals, pairs, groups of friends, etc. to come play on the course with us! When you arrive you will harness up and get up on the course in small groups, with the support of your trained staff. With advance notice, this course can be adapted to be accessible to people of all abilities.
