Service Descriptions

Locker Rooms

There are four main locker rooms in the SFC. Two are for faculty/staff and two are for students. For member convenience, there are also two Private Changing Rooms. The following guidelines are required:

  • No glass is permitted in locker rooms.
  • Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items due to unauthorized use. Due to photo/video capabilities, use of mobile technology is prohibited in locker room areas and will be strictly enforced.
  • Regardless of age, individuals are not permitted in the opposite sex locker room.
  • Private Changing Rooms are available and include restroom, shower, and lockers.
  • Only swimsuits are to be placed in the Suitmate water extractor located in the locker rooms and private changing room area. Please read and follow the directions to use the extractor.

Warning: Wet surfaces in the locker room may be slippery. Please watch your step.

Semester/Annual Locker Rentals

Permanent lockers are available to SFC members for purchase on a semester and annual basis.

  • Rental lockers are pre-assigned with locks provided by Campus Recreation and are available for a fee on first-come, first serve basis.
  • Lockers are to be used for legitimate recreational purposes only.
  • All locks and lockers are the property of Illinois State University.
  • Campus Recreation is not responsible for abandoned items.
  • No items may be hung outside of the lockers.
  • Locker rentals are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
  • In the event the locker needs to be emptied, items will be put in a secure location behind the Welcome Center desk for one week. If belongings are not claimed within one week, the items will be disposed of in an appropriate manner.
  • Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property or for items left in unsecured lockers.

Daily Lockers

Daily lockers are available in the locker rooms and throughout the facility.

  • Padlocks are available at the equipment check-out counter for daily use free of charge.
  • The padlock must be returned after use and items removed from the locker. If the padlock is not returned by the end of business each day, the padlock and items will be removed by a Campus Recreation team member and a fee of $10 will be assessed for failure to return the padlock.
  • Personal locks are permitted, however must be removed 15 minutes prior to the facility closing. Failure to remove personal lock 15 minutes prior to the facility closing will result in removal of lock by Campus Recreation.

Towel Service

Towel Service can be purchased at the Welcome Center desk on a daily, semester or annual basis.

  • Towel pick-up and return is located at the equipment check in desk.
  • Redbird card is required at pick-up to verify towel service.
  • Towel service provides member one towel at a time. If member returns towel, another towel can be provided.
  • All towels must be returned after use. Redbird Card is required to return towel. Lost or stolen towels will be the responsibility of those using the service and result in a $10 replacement charge.
  • Towels are also available on a daily basis for $1 per towel, per day.

Equipment Checkout

  • A Redbird Card or membership is required to check out equipment.
  • Equipment must be returned by the same person who checked out the equipment.
  • Redbird Card is required to return equipment.
  • Equipment must be returned at least 15 minutes prior to closing time.
  • Individuals will be charged a fee for damage or loss of equipment. Fee will be determined based on replacement value for the item.
  • Guests are not permitted to check out equipment. Sponsors may check out equipment for their guests, but assume full responsibility for equipment issued.
  • Equipment may not leave the building and must be returned prior to leaving the SFC.
  • The loss or damage of equipment is the responsibility of the guest. A replacement fee must be paid prior to being allowed to use the SFC again.
